My Story
Wayne Moore is a passionate educator and community mentor who earned his Master’s Degree in Special Education from Bay Path University. He has spent the past 13 years teaching at Brookings Elementary School under the guidance of Terry Powe and currently serves as a 3rd grade Special Education teacher. A lifelong mentor in the Springfield community, Wayne has supported and guided local youth for decades. During college, he volunteered with The Partnership of Brookline alongside his teammates. In recognition of his impact, he was named the 2017 Western Mass Mentor of the Year. Beyond the classroom, Wayne is also a high school basketball coach, leading teams to multiple state and Western Mass championships.
