From his earliest days with SPO Connection, Ruben displayed a spirit of purpose and determination. It comes as no surprise that he has become a distinguished educator, Assistant Principal, mentor, coach, and builder of programs that transform lives.

My Story
Ruben Bush III is a dedicated and passionate educator with 19 years of experience serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and currently as an Assistant Principal. Throughout his career, Ruben has remained committed to fostering academic success and positive development in all students, especially those most in need of support. He has worked closely with organizations such as Clippers and Cops, where he has played a pivotal role in mentoring and empowering at-risk youth through honest dialogue and relationship building.
In addition to his leadership role at school, Ruben serves as a mentor and sponsor for the Young Men of Sandtown, a program at Sandtown Middle School focused on guiding young men toward excellence in character, academics, and leadership. He also serves as a Check-In/Check-Out mentor, working daily with his school’s most at-risk scholars to ensure they have the structure, encouragement, and guidance they need to thrive.
A former coach of both boys and girls basketball, as well as soccer at both the middle and high school levels, Ruben brings the same level of dedication, discipline, and mentorship to the athletic field that he brings to the classroom and administrative office.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Ruben enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two sons, watching sports, and exploring investment opportunities that align with his long-term goals.
